Amine-Based Shale Inhibitor
A shale inhibitor formulated from novel amine derivatives. Its amine functional groups adsorb rapidly onto shale surfaces to form a dense protective film that blocks water invasion, effectively suppressing clay hydration, swelling and dispersion — with relative inhibition rates above 85% at ambient temperature and 90% after 150 °C aging.
APPLICATIONS
Application scenarios
- 01Shale inhibition and wellbore stabilization in water-sensitive formations
- 02Water-based muds at temperatures up to 150 °C
- 03Salt- and calcium/magnesium-contaminated systems
